I've had a wholesale account with Brownells for something like 40 years. It once was my primary source for most all things related to firearms. Unfortunately much of what I used to buy is not sold by Brownells anymore, thus there isn't much I order anymore. Recently however I ordered an Amerigo Haven sight. I installed it and was happy to see I was able to regain some accuracy I've lost due to aging eyes. Unfortunately my nice tight group was in the upper left shoulder of the target. The sight doesn't have enough adjustment to correct this, so I called Ameriglo and was told it hadn't been "centered" when manufactured. I then called Brownells and told my story to CS. In turn, I received the replacement exchange today. The replacement came in an opened box with a label saying it had been "Opened for inspection by BROWNELLS." Inside I found the sight to be dirty, and its scratched. So much for that inspection, and for trying very hard to help the customer. It seems Brownells has lost its way, it isn't quite a gunsmith supply house anymore, nor is it Midway. What is it?
