Hey everyone, What products, parts, accessories, retro reproductions, tools, or just general gun stuff would you genuinely like to see Brownells make, bring back, improve, or carry? What's the stuff you guys complain nobody makes correctly anymore, parts that disappeared years ago, things that are always out of stock, clone parts, weird niche tools, retro items, better QC versions of existing products, etc. Could be: Retro AR stuff BRN-180 ideas Clone-correct parts Gunsmithing tools Reloading equipment Storage/shop gear Optics mounting solutions Small replacement parts nobody stocks “Why doesn’t anyone make this?” products Honestly some of the best ideas come out of ARFCOM threads anyway. Throw ideas out there. I’ll read all of it. |

No worries. I see you cleaned out the whole Brownells forum! My suggestion was that you guys make another run of the Brownells Proto rifle. I missed out on them last time you made them and would really like one.  You also asked if I would change anything on the second run? Yes - I would change the model to BRN-PROTO instead of BRN-601. Please keep the large blank spot like you did last time so we can put an Armalite logo there. I would also make the finish a more matte (less shiny) gray anodizing like the older Colt rifles. Otherwise the rifle is really neat and I think it is really cool of you guys to make it.

Colt M5 and 6940 replacement barrels. Better availability for Colt small parts like selector detents. Geissele government charging handle. High-quality FRTs like the ARC-Fire; would help with proliferation. Now for the moonshots: A gray C7 upper with an upside down ejection port cover, so I can more accurately clone the Fallout: New Vegas NCR service rifle. The Stag left-hand uppers had an ejection port that flipped down from the top, so it should be possible. https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/b/b8/ServiceRifle.png Singlepoint OEG clone for Son Tay builds. Sordin Supreme Pro-X with helmet rail adapters preinstalled, like the Unity SARA/MARK (not sure what other non-airsoft options are out there). Installing them myself is more complicated than I'm willing to risk. |

How about a 12 gauge sub gauge insert for double barrel and over under shotguns that is also an integrated suppressor trumpet horn stack -using the walls of the 12 gauge bore mostly as an expansion chamber. You could have a 28 gauge or 410 gauge "suppressed" SXS or O/U with the size and shape of a " normal " 12 gauge gun without the awkward apparatus on the end - allowing new shooters to get used to a shotgun with lower sound report and recoil. |

Don't give up on the 416, but make it a little better. I have 10" BRN4 / 416 clone, chrome lined. What could be better is the notch that the handguard slides into could be a lot tighter. The gas port in the barrel could be a little bigger, low back pressure cans are common use now and it would be great to be able to run it unsuppressed (it can't now) and suppressed. You guys are kicking out a sweet rifle that is inches from perfection. Would like a "shiny" retro A2 military issue grip. I'd suggest a Brownells MP5 , but ain't no one ever made one as good as HK for less than HK. I guess even PSA gave up on that tease. |

Bring back your old Glock slides, the good ones, that were made from 17-4, blocky with sharp serrations, and didnt cost an arm and a leg. I have 3, and would love one more, but have to search the EE since they were discontinued. They were excellent. Sad to see them go. |

I don't think a single outfit makes a holster for the Ruger MKIV with a suppressor. I'd about pay Safariland money to have a proper holster for my woods walking pistol. If y'all could swing that they'd sell. Many places have been selling those pistols hand over fist and tax stamps are free. |

I would love to see a run of BRN-Proto stripped uppers, 601 style lowers, and BRN-10 receiver sets. Wishful thinking next, VERY, VERY, VERY, wishful thinking. How about a NON 10-22 .22 rifle? Something akin to the old Remingtons, Winnys, and Savages of yesteryear….. wood and steel. Heck, maybe a “BRN-66®” update of the old Remington Nylon 66. Thank you for letting me wax poetic. |

Incredible value, would just take slightly less incredible value for a little bigger gas port, a front sight on the gas block capability and a little better fit with the upper and handguard. |
