Are the PSA buffer tubes made out of 6061 or 7075?
Such as the ones in their $49.95 stock kit?
It doesn't say what it is made out of in the description.
Thought i may be able to get an answer here. Thanks.

A quick search in this forum wouldv'e answered your question.  They sad their older tubes were 6000 series but ll future tubes would be 7000.  With that said you could assume that any that are ordered now since that was a month ago will be 7000 series.

This makes me think the are 6000 series cause dsa does not make 7000 series unless they have a new supplier.

Per PSA rep/owner on 12/5/11

Quoted:
Our old tubes are 6000 series, but the interior is smooth.  Our pistol tubes are 7000 series, and all future adjustable stock receiver extensions will be 7000 series.

Maybe PSA sold that site all their "left over" tubes when they went to the 7000 series?

That was the same way I searched for it, make sure when using the search to change the days that it searches, default is set to last 24 hours but will go back 30 days if selected.

That was undoubtedly my problem, I didn't realize that, and didn't read close enough I guess, I even went to the PSA archive and scanned the last few months threads thinkin "well.....maybe I read that thread further back than I thought"

You are correct they were originally ordered and distributed in 6061 and we are thinning out the herd and going with 7075.

Can you request 7075 if you place an order in the special instructions section? Also is there a price difference?

At this time we are clearing out existing stock.   There may be a choice between the two extensions at different price points in the future.

Why not offer two different options at two different prices.
