Whoes magazine does the 5.7 take? And, I am not paying work of art money for one of these. AR pistol=kool pew=less money. I do have the Mutant. That was about right at the time, price wise. Comprende?

I am intrigued for sure. However, only offering a 6.5" barrel in 5.56 is just missing the mark. IMHO My unsolicited advice to CMMG. 1) The 5.56 needs to be offered with and 11.5" barrel. 2) Work with RifleSpeed and use their adjustable gas block. 3) Make a builders kit for folks to use their already SBR'd mil-spec lowers. 4) Offer kit for around $1200 or less. Do the above, and it will sell VERY WELL. |

@CMMGinc have you guys looked into using the Dissent mutant platform for 6.5 Grendel/6ARC/338ARC/22ARC? 6ARC is known to severely reduce bolt life with standard AR15 bolts as well as all Grendel/ARC based cartridges being magazine sensitive. The beefy Mutant bolt could easily handle 6ARC and you could use CSSPECS AKM Grendel magazines. |
| We have. The "powerbolt" technology used in our 7.62 was introduced with the 458 and 6.5 but unfortunately nobody bought it so we discontinued it. Didn't make sense for us to continue to manufacture the bolts and uppers if nobody was buying. |
