I've read the M4LE thread and searched google thoroughly but can't find ANY info on this model. Can someone, preferrably from CMMG enlighten us with info. Who makes the rail? What is MSRP?  and any other pertinent info. I even heard from someone that the outer barrel was wasp treated and the inner barrel is chrome lined. I know Jeff said the M4LE was retailing for $1000-$1200 but would the LEP command a premium and if so how much? Sorry to be obsessive on the price issue but I just want to know if I should be happy or pissed at my local gun shop.

I also just bought a CMMG M4LEP and can't find a tactical forearm/quad-rail for it. I read the previous forum topics about the CMMG Gas Piston rails that fit:

MCTAR 20P is the Midwest industries 4 rail $195.95
HG-10 is the CMMG 4 rail $179.95

The problem is I can't find a MCTAR 20P or the CMMG HG-10. No one sells the
MCTAR-20P, not even Midwest Industries and CMMG phone lines are constantly busy and the CMMG website doesnt post the new HG-10 rail.

I really like my CMMG Gas Piston, but upgrading it is part of the fun of ownership.

Jeff, please help!

This is the M4LEP I got. I don't even know who makes the quad rail. I'm starting to get frustrated on not knowing ANYTHING about this gun.

I got an email today from CMMG, here's what it said:

The Midwest Industries MCTAR-20P (195.95) is designed for our piston and we have our own K7 4 rail free float (169.95).  Both are in stock.

Thank You,
Garson

Nice gun! i have the exact same thing without the rail. I replied to CMMG to get more info about how to get the rail. Not many people know alot about this gun, but for those who are familiar with it, they love the gas piston system and the quality of CMMG. So don't get too frustrated, you got a great weapon.

Now how do I order a damn rail? I'm getting a little frustrated about not finding any info on this gun!

Now I'm really confused. Bud's lists the M4LEP as a 1:7 twist, 4150 steel, MP tested, etc. Are there two versions of the M4LEP? I thought that the M4LEP was supposed to be CMMG's "budget AR" but the prices I've seen have been around $1200 and up to $1400 for the quad rail version...doesn't seem too budget. I know CMMG has their hands full at the Shot Show but it would be nice if they could provide some information on this model especially considering they offer a full warranty on it.

It's all relative.  It is a piston-driven rifle for less than $1500, which I would consider "budget".  I think the twist rate is wrong on the add––my M4LEP is 1:9.  Great rifle though.

All WASP rifles are 1/9 twist.  The rail system is our own and is just a simple 1 piece type with laser T markings.

WASP barrels are treated on the inside and out.

It looks like the M4LEP is already outdated. The kicker is....the new and improved piston system is selling for less then the M4LEP. Now I know why CMMG never hyped the M4LEP.

It's the same system, only it has a one piece steel gas block verses the 2 piece AL one

I asked this on the other thread but will the upgrade you were referring to for $100 be the replacement gas block?

Jeff,

How much is it for M4LEP owners to upgrade to the one piece block?

We don't those figures ready yet, sorry.
