I have a CTR stock I ordered with a lower parts kit.  Apparently I have a MilSpec CTR and a Commercial tube, since I cannot slide the stock onto the tube with the locking pin retracted.

To avoid the time & hassle of exchange, can I notch the back end of the tube so the locking pin clears (yes, the dreaded ARFCom Dremel treatment!)?

Is the clearance to slide the stock onto the tube the only compatibility problem, or are there other factors where I should go ahead and exchange it?

Just exchange it or buy a mil spec tube, save yourself the possibility of F'ing up a perfectly good stock.

Doesn't Magpul have a 60 day no B.S. return policy? Just send it in and get a replacement.

Operator error.

It's on.  I was working on it late tast night and apparently the contents of my cranium weren't fully operational.
