A while back when I got my Elzetta Charlie I was planning on having it Cerakoted. More specifically, I wanted the high-temperture heat-cured cerakote as it is more durable. But alas when my Charlie arrived I discovered that the electronics couldn't be easily removed from the housing (that is a BEEFY snapping by the way!). I was fearful of exposing the electronics to the heat of curing, so I skipped the Cerakote. Question: Is there any possibility that you might do a cerakoted Charlie in the future? I know that one person wanting one isn't sufficient business justification for you to do so; I just want to know if I should keep periodically checking your website in case you decide to do a batch. FYI I know that you did an FDE run of the original 230-lumen, but I much prefer the Charlie :-) |

Black Dove Customs in Shelbyville did a bravo model for me. I removed the tailcap switch using a pair of pointed needlenose pliers (it rotates right out). It was a ZFL-M60 model so the lamp assembly came right out. The new AVS heads do not appear to come apart.
