Like many others, I purchased a Colt rifle in December, in my case a 6933 from Clyde Armory. I know that Clyde and the BATF are overwhelmed, so the transfer is going to take a long time.
The purpose of this thread is for others in the same situation to chart their progress. One of the problems with the huge number of purchases that occurred in December is that it is hard to get information from the dealers regarding status of the purchase, as they are busy and not responding or slow to respond to calls and emails. Other threads discussing purchases of magazines have provided general information that is helpful to all involved. For example, I have not received my mags from Brownells, but neither have most others. It is also helpful since I am less likely to try and contact the vendor if others have already asked my question and posted the resulting answer. So, for those ordering from Clyde, when did you order, have you heard anything regarding expected timeline or had any contact with them. My info: Order placed 12/19/12 for 6933 Order listed in my account on their website as “processing” Email at time of purchase indicating “transaction authorization” with the price, but nothing else. |

| I purchased a 6920 SOCOM from them on 1/26/13. My card was immediately charged and I figured it would be enroute shortly. Then, a few days ago I confirmed with my FFL that his licenese was there. I also checked my bank account and it states that I was never charged for the rifle. Weird. I tried calling them with no luck and sent an email yesterday with no response yet. Ill advise if/when I hear anything. Perhaps posting on their fb page would be a good way to get in contact with them. |

I'm going to give then to Monday afternoon before I start getting annoyed. Theyve been posting 6720s as in stock every few days so they are getting rifles in. Now they need to get the ordered ones out |

I called yesterday and spoke with Sam and got some very troubling news.
Apparently, when I ordered my 6920 SOCOM on the 26th they were already sold out but for whatever reason still showing as available online. Well, I ordered and everything appeared fine. When I spoke with Sam yesterday he told me about this and offered two options. One: I get the first one off the next shipment. Two: I forget about it and continue the hunt for one somewhere else. I told him I'll take option 1. He told me that he didnt expect the wait to be too long as they are one of seven master dealers in the country. Hopefully this means Ill get it sometime soon... Sam was very polite and apologetic on the phone. While I am annoyed with the process so far I'm sure Sam and Clyde Armory will make it right. |

I want to chime in as a Clyde Armory fanboy. They are Mr. Colt of the southeast. I too have a 6943 purchase in the works, waiting for it to arrive from them to my new home FFL/SOT here in AL.
When I lived and policed in Ga (now retired), I bought both personal, and department guns from Clyde Armory and have always had the best service. On the latter, I worked directly with the owner trading in some 635s for new LMT Gaurdians. The store is awesome; a virtual black rifle crack house. At their old location, they would display a shipping pallet of 6920's 6 ft high on the show room floor. Talking with my contact there for my pending 6943, during this panic, their staff have put in 12-14 hour days to insure all sales are handled as best as possible and the inventory is tracked without getting into a pinch come ATF audit time. Friends who visited/bought there during the panic said it was nothing but long lines out the door. They reporting observing 'johnny come lately to gun ownership folks' who never owned a gun in their lives buying all kinds of pistols/rifles they new nothing about. Just get it in your mind that its gonna take a while. This will be the longest wait Ive ever had. All four of my stamps were processed years ago in that brief periof of ATF history when we counted the wait in days, not months. |

They have done right by me many times. Grant you it was not in a "panic" climate, but I would be surprised if they provide anything other than exemplary service. I hope that proves to be the case. I started this thread not to complain, but as a means to share information. For me the issue is not the long wait, as that is to be expected. The problem is the lack of available information regarding the status of our purchases, due to the lack of communication from Clyde Armory, presumably because they are so busy. My hope is that anyone who learns anything will post it in this thread. |

I ordered two 6943s through the web store on December 19th. Form 3s cleared and they just shipped to my SOT. What if any updates did you receive prior to shipping? Was your order "status" on their website "processing" prior to shipment? When was your CC charged? Thank you for the info. |

Given the tone of your post, it seems to me you are a little worried, concerned, with the service from Clyde Armory.
Given the on-going panic driven firearms market factors at play, that's totally understandable, plus, you've never dealt with Clyde Armory in the past. I get it. I wish my endorsement of Clyde Armory and a note "You're going to be OK" would help. As an aside, given JoshNC's post above, my 6943 is about two weeks away or less from arriving at my FFL/SOT. |

I emailed Matt at Clyde about my order and he called about about two or three weeks ago to tell me the form-3 to my SOT was submitted. Just have patience, they will take care of you. |

“I told you so”.
Actually, that would be what you would say to me. Yesterday I received shipping confirmation that a 10 lb package arrived at my dealer from Clyde Armory, which I assume is my 6933. I never received any other correspondence from Clydes, and my order is still listed on their site as "processing". |

Congrats! |

Quoted: purchased a 901 on March 15th, at my FFL on March 19th Georgia to Wisconsin amazing service Curious, were you on their waiting list for a 901? Or just hit the website at the right time? I called yesterday, they have 901s on the retail, but won't ship those. Bummer. They are sitting in a rack, 5 hours away, I have cc in hand, and yet they won't sell me one from that half of the store. I have bought a few things from them in the past and they seem like good folks, but that policy is a bit aggravating. Oh well. In the next few weeks, the Tavor should help the wait. ETA Holy cow! Just checked website IN STOCK!!!! Just snagged one!! ![]() ETA Time from clicking on 'BUY NOW' to filling out the 4473 at my dealer was less than a week. |
