Perhaps @DanielAU will pop in here and provide you some additional info for you. |

Colt is very risk adverse...especially after the dismantling of Remington in court. Additionally, the risk/presence of "lawfare" by Democrats does not make the commercial presence worthwhile for the manufacturer. All it takes is one lawsuit and any profit from the handful of folks that want select-fire capable lowers is instantly wiped out by legal costs. Just my worthless .02 cents. YMMV. |

| I do not do their AFMER reports but would assume so. They came to us as receivers, they leave us as receivers, they arrive to your FFL as receivers, they transfer to you on a 4473 as receivers. Why you are hung up on this, or what you are trying to get at, is beyond me. |

If they are part outs from factory rifles that definitely alters the landscape. |

The selector stops are nice and I know all the arguments for and against laser engraving but its just not for me. If any of you guys with the older roll marked Commando lower are willing to let one go for a non rapey price hit me up (I, know I won't be holding my breath lol) |

I began to understand that the body is actually a cage for the soul, rather than a liberator....a vehicle of expression for our souls to interact with the physical dimension, little more.

I hate the QR code and stopped buying Colt rollmarked lowers after they started engraving with QR. I didn’t buy the original rollmarked m4 commando or m4a1 property marked lowers because of the QR codes. In hindsight this was a mistake. That said, laser engraved is the new factory correct and these m4 commando lowers overall look great. |

If I remember correctly, Daniel at AU answered this question in this thread or in another a few weeks ago. I was concerned because I didn't want AU's markings on the receiver. According to what Daniel wrote, they use Colt's markings but AU files the paperwork. I have Commando and SCW lower halves on the way from AU, so I'll update when my dealer creates my Form 4's. |

Possibly , except for the fact that I have had this upper in my gunroom since this came out years ago ..I bought one of each length from 10.5” to 16”when they were first offered .so for now I will save the money |

| Thanks for the link. Fortunately, I already have the LE6940, LE6943, LE6944 and LE6945 rifles. When they were available, I didn't buy additional 6945 upper half because I didn't anticipate needing one, didn't know about the Colt SCW and certainly didn't anticipate AU offering properly marked SCW lower halves. So, now I'm on the hunt for a newish condition 6945 upper half to pair with the SCW lower half that's on the way to me. I've only found one source and it's $1,178 which is too close in price to a complete rifle. Plus, my anal retentiveness won't allow me to break up a factory rifle. |
| The ABSOLUTE best part of these new batch of Colt Commando lowers from AU is the fact that you can get an actual SBR Commando Lower with the form designating COLT as the true manufacturer of said lower. At least that's how I look at it. It's tough when I have so many AR15's to take the plunge on another lower/gun, but I did. :) |

I had it pressed in deep enough that it could not possibly touch the magazine, and it still wouldn’t work. |

Now I have to decide what Colt Upper to get with my Commando lower- do I go old school and get the traditional upper, or do I go with the new M5 Commando upper? Looking for thoughts from you guys.. I have several older colt uppers, might be kind of cool to go with the M5. |
