Yea, another 1 of 300, came before the 6920HB's, I just bought one along with 2 - 9mm lowers from SAW, now the web site shows no more 6320's I must have got the last one

Very simple lightweight rifle is what I'm hoping for

How is it different from the Government Carbine?

Many thanks, and good shooting!

The 6320 is a 1/9 twist, A1 sights, the Gov Carbine is 1/7 twist with A2 sights.

What does the left side of the receiver say?  Is it "Police Patrol Carbine"?  Or, is it "Government Carbine"?

Here's a copy and paste from a gunbroker auction

Take it for what it's worth, I'm a bit skeptical, never thought about a matching pair

UNDERSTANDING THE COLT SPECIAL PRODUCTION WEAPONS:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Colt AR6320 Police Patrol Carbine was the first Special Production weapon ever manufactured. The LE6920HB was the second. Both weapons were manufactured as Special Production weapons for law enforcement or government use. In order for Colt to produce a Special Production weapon they require a minimum order of 300 units.

The AR6320 was manufactured in 2001 and almost all of the weapons were placed into service prior to the expiration of the Assault Weapons Ban. There are 7 documented AR6320's available to civilians.

The LE6920HB was manufactured in 2003. More than half of these were placed in service prior to the expiration of the Assault Weapons Ban. There are approximately 130 documented LE6920HB's available to civilians.

Some may ask what is the difference between the Colt AR6520 and the Colt AR6320 or the Colt LE6920HB and the Colt LE6920?

This question is similar to asking the difference between a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle baseball card and 1962 Topps Mickey Mantle baseball card. Both cards are desirable, but one is particularly rare and thus, more collectable and much more valuable.

To be specific, the number of units produced, and the designs of the barrels are unique on both weapons. The sights and receiver roll mark on the AR6320 are unique.

The lightweight barrel on the AR6320 has a 1/9 twist. The upper receiver has A1 (field) sights. Apparently officers were playing with the rear sight knobs and un-zeroing their weapons. The receiver roll mark says AR-15 LIGHTWEIGHT.

The heavy barrel on the LE6920HB retains the step down for the M203 grenade launcher, but does not narrow under the hand guards like the LE6920. The LE6920HB uses the M4A1 heavy barrel (SOCOM) in a 16-inch length. This barrel does not exist on any other weapon Colt has ever produced.

Serious Colt collectors will desire a set of these Special Production Weapons. You will be able to add to the set as other Special Production Weapons become available. There are not many collectors who know these Special Production weapons exist. And very few (7) will ever have the opportunity to own a complete set.

Thank you for the time you took to learn about these rare Colt Special Production weapons. I welcome your questions.

Happy Holidays,

John

P.S. If you are interested in the second Special Production Weapon created by Colt as a companion to this weapon you may want to view my other Gunbroker.com auction.

YardDog,

that is an awesome find, bro!

While I would not be shooting those, I would ogle at them daily, and probably have to install a drool cup near my wall mount or safe.

"A weapon unused is a useless weapon"

I kind of like the A1 sights.  no knobs to twist or anything.
