Calling all Colt Experts! (Stokes I know your out their!)

I just acquired my first Colt 9mm Model 6430 blue label. I have a few questions because something doesn’t look right.
1. Shouldn’t some manufacturing stampings be on the bolt?
2. It has an A2 lower with an A1 upper which I know Colt did, but the upper/lower color seems to be a few shades off.
3. Did all Colt 9mm 6430’s had such a loose fit between the upper and lower?

Thanks - Kirk

A good reference is http://www.biggerhammer.net/ for configurations, serial numbers, and etc.

On all colt bolts their should be a "C" stamped on the left side of the bolt.

All Colt 9mm had A2 lowers with A1 uppers with the serial number starting with TA or NL.

If the gun was shot a lot and/or handled a lot the upper and lower may be loose.  Just use a Accuwedge and that will fix the problem.  I put a Accuwedge in every AR I purchased, new or used.

That's not true. All of my Colts are tight.
