| Are colt bolts test fired? I purchased a complete group from SAW and it has no marks what so ever. |
| I believe the "proof test" is a single shot using a cartridge that generates 20% overpressure. Don't know if this is done before the parkerizing or not. A proof tested bolt sold as a spare, wouldn't have much wear and tear on it, even if the test firing were done after parkerizing. The complete rifles, in addition to having a proof tested bolt, are test fired using normal ammunition for function and zeroing. Don't know how many rounds are involved in the FT. |
