How do you remove the damn handguard on this model? The handguard and what I'm guessing is the barrel nut look to be made together and it's the type where the gas tube runs through the nut and I can't tell if the handguard is just screwed on or not. I'd rather not tear it up trying to find out. Please don't hate on me cause to some it's not a real colt, it was a gift and I'm trying to change some stuf out on it, to better suit me.

No one is going to give you crap here. The Colt Competition rifles are damn good guns. All you need to get the rail off is a Yankee Hill type wrench. I have one like in the link below and it works great...

Awesome thank you, that's just what I was looking for. I didn't realize it used a type of jam nut to keep the handguard from backing off. Now I just have to decide on which new handguard to go with. Thanks again for the help.
