Anybody have any experience with this wheelgun? Good or bad? May have the opportunity to pick one up.
I have one with a 4 3/4 BBL. It locks up better then ANY SAA 3rd gen I have ever seen. Timed very well. People expected it to be as well finished as a $1200 SAA. When it was not they griped and did not buy them. I paid somewhere around 5 out the door for mine and am very happy with it, shoots right to POA with 250 grainers, excellent groups. The 5 1/2 is the most common, mine has the hard rubber grips while other had sorta cheap looking wood ones. They are not all that easy to find anymore as I have been looking for a reasonable priced 4 3/4 one to make a matched set for some time.
Remember, it does have a FP transfer bar system. I swear they licensed it from Ruger. However, my trigger breaks at MAYBE 2- 2.5 pounds. I have NO problem with that and I can load 6 up safely. For all the complaints, the bluing was excellently done and the color case hardening colors are a hell of a lot better looking then 99% of the clones and 100% of the Beretta marked ones. Those are the saddest excuses of CCH I have ever seen in my life. Bleh. The trigger sits a bit foward further then a true SAA. They feel 100x better in the hand then the ruger SAAs tho the newer ones have a smaller grip and frame.
