So, I've been searching Colt Manufacturing and numerous websites/forums since purchasing an LE901 in October of last year (2012). Patiently anticipating the conversion block availability release date. Things I've learned thus far:

1. Never believe what a customer service representative from Colt tells you. They seem less informed than the general public.
2. Good luck even locating an email address for Colt Manufacturing customer service. If one exists, it's truly a closely guarded secret.
3. I seriously doubt Colt's intention of ever releasing them to the general public.
4. Colt does a fine job of selling the idea of a conversion block by implying the existence of said item, yet goes out of their way to avoid informing the gun buying public when this blessed event will eventually occur.
5. Quoting their promotional material on http://www.coltsmfg.com/Catalog/ColtRifles/ColtLE90116S.aspx, "Keeping the varmint hunter in mind, the .308 Winchester upper receiver group can be easily swapped out for any Mil-Spec Colt upper receiver chambered in 5.56x45 NATO." Sure. Only when you guys finally get around to releasing the )*&$E#-part you fail to include with any product or, God-forbid, you would think about keeping your gun-buying customers happy with even moderately open communication lines.

No wonder the civilian side of the corporation is on terminal life support. And this from a customer who has laid out cash to invest in the company's product line. What a travesty!

Dude, nobody knows, bottom line is it's not available.  Anybody in the Colt forum is just blowing smoke up your ass.  This is why companies like S&W don't announce anything until it's already sitting at the dealers.  People ask for estimates of when it's going to be available, the companies are reluctant to give an estimate because it's really just arbitrary, and then push comes to shove and they give one and don't hit it - and then customers are pissed.

For what it's worth - yes - it's real.  Hopefully it'll be available soon.  I understand your venting, but you might as well be wailing about the sky being blue.

If this topic would more appropriately "fit" the Colt Forum, I would have no problem having it moved there. Any mod's care to participate?

It's not about more appropriately fit for the Colt forum ,it's just more Colt guys in there that might be able to answer your question.

After taking a look, alot of guys are asking the same question you are about the adapter.

I wouldn't hold your breath for a Mod to move your post you might be better off just reposting in the Colt forum.

I was looking to get a 901 since they were announced and was getting ready, then lost my job so it's on the back burner for now.

Maybe colt is supplying them with the new white label 901's? Anybody got a 2013 configuration that came with the conversion block?
