| Does anyone sell Colt lower receivers? I've been checking the equipment exchange and other places also. I'd like to have a lower that would match my A-1 upper. |
Yes, Ken an Tina at www.sawlesales.com will be happy to sell you one, I think they had AR15A2 marked lower, and a couple of others. I doubt you will find anything marked A1 since that is quite old, these are new. I believe it was $199 stripped, $299 complete lower, and $499 for complete lower half with stock. They are the only place I know of that still sells new colt lower receivers. |
Yep. if you are trying to make an authentic retro build then a new Colt receiver is probably not the way to go. Fortunately you can still use Colt internals which is really the important part of the lower receiver. ETA Colt also makes a standard-sized FCG pin lower parts kits, FTW! |
HERE, you have to scroll down a lot to get to the LPKs. SA06006 LOWER REC. PARTS KIT, COLT, (0.155), SEMI same price as the large pin, SA06007 LOWER REC. PARTS KIT, COLT, (0.170), SEMI Price is steep at $175, but it is out there for purists. Some day I'll upgrade all my ARs to Colt LPKs, just don't have the income right now. |

I just sent an email. I just turned 18, and my father never saw any need for anything more than his old 20'' hbar colt. Since I'm about to start college, I can't afford a complete rifle, but I just shot SAW an email asking about the lowers. I'd like to have the base of my dream rifle (6920) in case the elections go really badly. |
Just got my reply from SAW. Stripped lowers are 400 and complete lowers are 600. I was thinking they might have a complete lower minus the stock (since I have an extra colt stock) but they don't seel them. Does anyone know where I can get a colt lower parts kit for a reasonable price?

FYI - The 0.155 size Colt semi auto LPK's SAW offers are actually NOS from the 80's and come with the large .315 front pivot screws. If your buying one of these kits for a standard milspec lower, be advised that you will have to purchase a milspec front pushpin, spring and detent in addition to the LPK. HTH's...O3 out!!
