From 1911 Forms

Hi all, for those of you who are new to the forum my name is Mark Roberts and I work for Colt. A recent turn of events places me as Director of Sales and Marketing, this is an intersting challange because a lot of people think we don't sell guns anymore and our marketing budget is rather thin.

My main reason for this first post is to let people know I want to become more of an active participant on the boards, to keep people informed and help address some of the issues. I was doing this a bit more a year or so ago but it became rather difficult and I backed off, had a couple of false starts after that but now I am here again and here to help. I will be open and honest with you as I have been in the past. So lets talk about the good and the bad. In a few weeks I will share more with you about 2006, for now I just wanted to say Hi and that I am glad to be back. Feel free to e-mail me at [email protected]

I met Mark at the SHOT show a few years ago, real nice guy.

The problem with the forum presence is that it turns into the same conversations over and over, and the same requests. Quality control issues are one thing, but asking for a 10mm over and over, or asking about cheaper guns? It's got too wearisome for me, that's why I barely visit the 1911forum anymore.

He might come over to post, but I doubt he has the time to moderate. I don't recall the last time he was on, what he said in regards to posting over here.
