I haven't had my Sparc that long, but battery life really wasn't an issue since it isn't on my SHTF rifle (T-1 is on that one). I just ordered a couple of extra batteries and keep them in my range kit in case the battery runs out during a match or range session. Battery's easy to find around here? |

Ordered some using my Amazon Prime account. Not sure if Depot has them, but you could probably find them inexpensively on Ebay with a little looking around. |

Finding mine great - no issues at all. Still on original battery. Think the 6 hour auto shutoff is a great feature, if it didn't have that I'm sure I'd be running through batteries.
Best place to get the batteries at good prices I have found is to bulk buy off ebay. |

I like the SPARC - it has some short comings, but it's a decent optic for the price. Torture tests show it to be a tough bastard and the included mounts and magnifier are nice perks for the price.
My biggest complaint is where the power button is situated and the type of battery used. I keep my carbine in a soft-sided case, and it spends a lot of time riding around in my vehicle...no matter how careful I am, the damned power button always seems to get bumped and turns the power on. The power button is on the outermost part of the optic, and while I'm no expert on red-dot sight ergonomics, I tend to see this as a design flaw. I understand the SPARC has a 6 hour auto-off, but that hasn't seemed to help me keep my batteries from dying. The CR-2354 battery is not a common battery type, so it seems like every time I want to shoot my gun, I can't use the SPARC. Bottom line, I've shot the gun two times with the SPARC on it and I've already burnt through two batteries...seriously considering ponying up for an Aimpoint or EOtech for this reason alone.
