Could someone clarify for me whether or not DD barrels use barrel extensions with extended feedramps - commonly known as "M4" barrel extensions?
I'd assumed at first that DD would, however, looking at the descriptions both on DD's and Bravo Company's websites, I see the barrel extensions listed as "A4," which for the time being, I can only equate to the M16A4 which has rifle (non-extended) feedramps. Can someone clarify this for me? Thanks, ~Augee |

Thanks,
I've got a DD 10.3" barrel with a RIS II, but I wasn't able to check it, but I coulda sworn that it had M4 ramps until everything I saw said "A4" extension!
It seemed odd to me considering I installed it on a Colt M4 upper which has extended ramps, I would have expected more problems. Could you explain to me where the nomenclature "A4" extension came from versus "M4" extension? I only ask because it confused the heck out of me, as the military's M16A4 does not use an extended feedramp barrel extension, which is typically what I associate "A4" unless it is otherwise noted. Thanks again, ~Augee |
