I'm considering the purchase of a DD M4300s SBR. I've never owned an SBR or pistol length gassed rifle before, but have some suppressor experience and a few suppressed rifles. This rifle will primarily be used in thicker brush hog hunting and for a range toy. My questions:
1. For those that have this rifle, is there any issue with function and reliability with different loads, i.e. 110gr supers, 220 gr subs both suppressed and unsuppressed? 2. How does gas blowback compare to carbine length 5.56 both suppressed and unsuppressed? Does the pinned gas block work, or is an adjustable gas block, gasbuster charging handle or vented bolt carrier needed? I'm trying to stay lightweight, and for the subs real quiet. I'm currently running Sakers for 30 cal cans, but am considering a Rugged Razor for the 300BO. Anybody run this combination or would suggest a different can setup? Again, function is my number 1 consideration, but I don't like gas face, so blowback is an issue for me. TIA! |
