The locking lug you are seeing is not available yet. Testing is still being done.
The full kits are so new, I doubt anyone has them on sale. I saw the ad for Cals Sporting Armory. Never heard of them but I only found a couple complaints. That is a great price if the kits are legit. |

thanks, I hate ordering something knowing a newer version is in the works. since I have never had a 22 kit I know nothing about them, will the locking lug be a situation where you just buy the bolt I wonder to add it? also does the forward assist option add anything that useful? |

The BHOA is an add on. You can get it any time. It just drops in.
The forward assist has the same usefulness it does in a 5.56 AR. To some it's important. For the .22, in the occasion the bolt doesn't completely seat because of dirt, the forward assist can seat the bolt. If mine is to that point, I just pull it out and clean it. The CMMG is a drop in conversion. It works very well. Upgrades just seem to keep coming. The locking lug will be a nice addition mainly because when the upper is opened up, the conversion can't fall out. Function wise, as I stated, both mine have been nearly flawless through 5 different AR's. The most recent kits have a couple of small changes that help insure the reliability of the BHOA. There is a post that shows how someone with an older bolt can make the angles. I suggest you read through some of the posted threads. Lots of information there. Spec Ops13 and I have been running a lot of R & D on these. In my opinion, it's the best kit out there for reliability, performance, and new ideas. Dave |
