How about shaving a hair more length off that barrel? Not sure if you could go down all the way to 14.5, but maybe 15, start the muzzle threads right at the FSB like an AK, pin/weld flash hider for just a hair over 16" overall? I'd buy one in a heartbeat, especially if you do do one with a chrome-lined barrel, i'm not so much into nitrided barrels. |

It's way easier to drop 70 on an upper, 80 for a BCG and whatever the barrel will cost. |

Any word on whether Magpul plans on making a rifle-length SL handguard?
Been using the carbine for a while and just re-built a middy upper with a round handguard cap so I could use the middy SL, really really like these, a solid improvement over other models, not only slim but extended in length, the middy's almost as long as a conventional rifle length, a rifle-length SL on a dissy would be fucking superb. |

Probably a hair too long huh, would be sweet though. |
