Much to my dismay I had to order an optic from someone other than LT.  I was looking for an optic for the stealth upper I have on order and came across the Leupold VX-R series of scopes. I managed to lay my hands on one of the "hunting" VX-R's and immediately liked the fire dot reticule.

I checked the other models offered and came across the VX-R 1.25x4 patrol model with the spr reticule and thought "that's what I am looking for".  Not quite an aimpoint and not quite an acog but a cross between the two at a price I could afford.

I may be wrong but I think LT might find quite a few buyers for this particular optic if they were to offer it in a optic/mount combo.  Needless to say after ordering the VX-R from Midway ($579.00) and getting $30.00 off using the arfcom discount code my next stop was LT for the LT104 that it will be sitting in. I already have the tracking info from LT on that, now the wait continues on the upper (and the Lower)

BTW Do you guys think I ordered enough for LT to throw in a free PredatOBR with the rest of the swag I may or may not receive?

Flame away......

Can't wait to see your review of that scope. What's the primary purpose?

Primary purpose will be shooting stuff that needs holes added

All joking aside, I plan on using this for a short/mid range deer/varmint rifle and possibly some 3 gun type shooting (not competitive just fun). The hunting model I looked at had the same magnification but different reticule. On the lowest magnification and the brightness maxed you could use it like an aimpoint (one eye open) at least with my eyes. Having the additional magnification is a plus and the ranging reticule will still stay functional. Did I mention that the glass was very crisp and clear, not surprising from Leupold.

I am really looking forward to trying this thing out, I will probably toss it on my m4gery just to get familiar with it. Depending on how that works out I may even toss it on my 10-22 to shoot the upcoming appleseed. That brings to light another reason for the LT104, I can toss it on all but two of the rifles I own

You'll love it. I've got one wrapped in a LT104 on my 5.56 tAR and love it!  Wish it were a 1-4 vs the 1.25-4 but still nothing to cry about. I leave it on and in my safe. The auto off and on with motion is nice. Need to pick up a cattail for it now.
