[ARCHIVED THREAD] - FDT-A Gloves FINALLY Back!! (Page 1 of 2)
|
Wow, I just now saw this thread and I thought I was lucky to get in on the first run. I've been waiting not-so-patiently to get more and they sell out in less than a day?!?! You gotta be kidding! Fortunately, my original pair is holding strong after a year of moderate to heavy use...but I don't want to press my luck. |

That is great to hear - not the missing out part. Our first run had vast differences in the long term quality. This batch is far superior in every way. I still have my first pair going strong after a year and a deployment to AFG. A buddy of mine had his go down in three months - still great for the cost compared to $90 gloves that last just as long. Don't worry, this has been addressed this time around.
Also - we'll be getting more in soon. PLEASE sign up for the back in stock notifications and we'll let you know the second they come back in. SOS |

Just a heads up guys- our 4 day Thanksgiving sale was basically tantamount to a tactical nuke going off in our warehouse. Thankfully, our Ninjas are genetically immune to both blast and heat, and the radiation only serves to heighten their order-handling capabilities. As per our stated shipping policy and the conspicuous notice at checkout for all our customers during the sale (and even through today), our shipping guarantees have been suspended while the daily slaughter of orders continues. The Ninjas only retire at night to sharpen their blades and tell their children war stories, so they may too one day slay in the warehouse of tactical glory! Long story longer, glove orders should start shipping late tomorrow, and in ernest on Monday. Thanks for your patience! HTH! |

Looking forward to getting my hands on these glove. (yes, pun intended) |

How well do the sizes match up to Mechanix gloves? I wear an XL with that brand, is that what I should order when they come in stock again? I wear Mechanix covert original and FDT-A both in a size small. Yes I have very small and dainty man hands - might be why I learned how to shoot...... SOS |

Got mine Friday and used them Saturday. The feel is great and I was actually able to manipulate the screen on my iphone without having to take the gloves off. Really. If that's the case I'll order another pair. That's the biggest gripe I have as an iphone user. |

If that's the case I'll order another pair. That's the biggest gripe I have as an iphone user. FYI- touchscreen capability is not part of the design. We have another model coming out late 2013 that will do that among other things. I only say this because whether or not it works for you with these FDT-Alpha gloves will depend on a lot of tricky variables- black magicky stuff and shit like that. Some people have the right moisture, temperature and electric field at their finger tips to make it work through Clarino- and since we're using the thinnest Clarino available for the trigger finger only, it works better with these than other gloves. But again, not a feature of these gloves, just a happy accident for some users. FWIW- when these gloves from this notification sell out, which they will, please don't panic. We have another monster shipment arriving the first week of January. Thanks- |

I can't catch a break. I got the email around noon, got done with work around 4:00, had a pair of medium ranger green in my shopping cart, went to check out and somehow it was removed from my cart and sold out. All in about 30 seconds. Been there. Luckily I was near a computer and not busy at the time when I got the email. I've often had to excuse myself from some work task and order via my IPhone to get in on deals. You can also take a "smokers break" and call your order sometimes. |

I got my all black ones when I returned from the range. But I can say they are amazing. I have more dexterity than I do with my mechanix gloves which I've been running in lots of courses. The pull tab is appreciated. I don't have the wonder chemistry to be able to operate my iphone with them on so I'll have to wait for that version. The feel a little shorter at the wrist but that could be a good thing as Mechanix gloves tend to make me remove my watches. These don't. |
| Got mine today and they're awesome, immediately replaced my mechanix gloves. As soon as there are capacitive touchscreen models out, I'm getting some - these ones will work, but only if I press on the tiny perforated hole in the fingertips so my actual skin makes contact with the screen. |

Question on the sizing for the gloves- My hand measurement was right on the border of L and XL. I ordered a Large and they fit great, EXCEPT for the webbing of my thumb and forefinger. Everything else fit like a glove (pun intended).
If I return them for XL, will they be too big in the fingers? I haven't removed the tags yet since I've been mulling this over for a while. |

Order the XL before they run out. Try them both side by side. Return the one you don't want to keep and get a full refund. Voila. The shipping is a small price to pay for getting the optimal fit on something as important as gloves. |

I found some other gear that I wanted to order and said screw it, get both. Thanks for the reply. |

So, I'm an idiot. I thought I had Large gloves so I ordered XL. They came in the other day and I was surprised to find they fit exactly the same as my other ones. I look closer and my first pair were XL. Now I have two pairs of XL.
Luckily SKD has a sling sale going on so I had a reason to order a pair of XXL gloves. |
