I am doing a non-NFA XM177E2 replica build and need to have a barrel cut, threaded, and a reproduction moderator and grenade ring permanently attached.  Also the bayonet lug removed.  All standard stuff so far.

In order to be really "correct", the forge flash needs to be machined off the front sight base, and then the assembly re-parkerized, so that it looks like this:

Instead of this:

I realize this is sort of a non-standard request but is it something you would be able to do?  If so, at what cost and how would I go about ordering it as far as your online cart system is concerned?

Also, is it necessary to specify the exact length to cut to, or is it okay to just say "make it so it's just long enough to be legal with this muzzle device permanently attached"?

Damn, i missed this, sorry.

Yes, we will do that. Along with your other requested work, it will be $20. Note in comments section.  All you need for the perm length is "16  OAL". Again, sorry for not getting this quicker.

Received my barrel back today; thanks for the great work and quick turnaround!  I posted some photos of my build in progress on the retro forum; any other readers interested in having Adco do an XM177E2 barrel can check them out at the link below:

I have at least a couple of other barrels that will be making their way to you eventually, as time and funds allow.

I need to have this done on my XM177E2 barrel that I'll be sending in soon also.

My 1st job was in a machine shop where I spent countless hours polishing machining marks out with a belt sander.  At the risk of giving away trade secrets, can you tell us how the flash is removed?  Is it machined in a jig / by a robot or is the profile set by the hands of a skilled artist?
