I have an LMT 14.5 upper that had a SD extended A2 Flash hider perm attached.  I was reading somewhere that said LMT doesnt park under the FSB, and that they don't use "taper" pins at the FSB.  I was wondering if this could be done?  Can it be done without removing the SD A2 flash?  And...is it really worth it?   I'm just worried about "cosmetic" rust there in the future.

Thanks in advance!

It can be done but honestly, i wouldnt bother. Unless you plan on SCUBA diving with it, i wouldnt worry about rust. As far as taper pins, straight pins will hold up just fine. It would be rather cost prohibitve as we would have to dissassemble it to repark so your looking at:

$35 diss/reass std

$50 repark barrel

$50 to ream the pin holes from straight to taper

But its up to you

Thanks

ETA: Yes we can work around a permed on FH
