Based on a posting on the AR15.com, AR15 Technical Discussions section I viewed the Brownell's flash hider comparison video.

Unfortunately, the video shows the view from the side, not from the perspective of the shooter.  I'm not concerned about hiding.  I want to know if MY vision (not my visibility to somebody to my side) will be impaired or helped by a "flash hider".  My target barrel AR uppers don't even have flash hiders.

Does anyone have comparison photos or video from the shooter's point of view?

Will Brownell's please make such a comparison?

Thank you in advance.

I am not aware of any videos available to view shooter perspective.  Possibly a visit to an indoor 100 yard range would provide some degree of exposure to the various flash hiders.

Someone here on ARFCOM did a "study" of sorts comparing a few varieties of FH/MB's
Not sure who but SOMEONE out there will remember.
If I can get an old locked up harddrive to work, I have pics from an accuracy-effect study we did in the 90's with MB's, FH's and std GI FH's (it was part of the one that concluded the Vortex actually increased accuracy)
Need to find a CPU wiz to recover the data but the "dusk flash effects" pics are out there on the net.
