Okay, here's where I show my ignorance about AR's, and the fact that the PSA I ordered will be my first.... I ordered the 14.&" CHF light profile "kit", and upgraded to the Front and rear MBUS. Since the front MBUS is a rail mounted sight, will the upper come in the with "standard" FSB installed that I'll then have to remove, or will it be left off, since I'm obviously running folding BUIS ? also, since I got a mid length rifle with the 12" hand guard, does that mean a low profile gas block will be installed? Sadly, I'm not very patient - and every day I'm waiting leads to another question..... Thanks- |

i think the 12" handguard will cover up the gas block on the midlength setup.
i just ordered a 14.7" chf light weight complete upper on the 2nd. it hit UPS yesterday, so I should have it on tuesday. i added the yhm diamond rifle length handguard which is about 12.5" so it should cover up the lowpro gas block. i will be running magpul mbus on it as well with an eotech. my first order from PSA was a complete rifle kit (14.7" CHF before they came out with the lightweight profile) and the upper was completely assembled so all you should do is put the lower together and slap them together and do some shooting. when it gets here i will post a pic. i've already built the lower and it is just waiting on a stock in fde to get in stock. it'll run a black moe stock until i can find an fde acs-l in stock somewhere. |

Thanks- To accomodate a 12" handguard, the barrel will have a low-profile gas block installed; with a standard FSB on a midlength, the handguards could not exceed 9". |

interestingly, I ordered my CHF LW kit on the 29th....I hoping it will ship Monday or Tuesday. Chowser- you getting yours is a good sign! Even if it took them 3 days to throw the parts for the "kit" in the box- mine should be on the way.... |
