Hello, I have been messing with my front sight on my Del-Ton barrel for two days now and I can NOT remove the pins on the front sight. I have done everything that has been recommended to me, and nothing is working. Here is a thread I started about it.

If I were to send you my upper receiver, how much would it cost to remove the pins for me and what kind of time frame would I be looking at?

Thanks

Looks like you got a lot of help that did not work out. Most of the cost would be in shipping. So, throw a $20 bill in the box to cover shipping, and we will punch them, and leave loose for you to do what you will. Please place a note in the box with Name, Email, Note to punch pins, and Return address.

You can try this though. Pack the FSB area in ice (or place barrel in freezer overnight) then try it.

I had a similar issue with BCM uppers that flat out refused to budge.  Tried cold...lots of penetrating oil...BFH...broke several punches....etc.

Finally, I got a 3 pound hammer, heated the pins a good bit with a torch, rested the FSB over the jaws on my vice so that they had a hard surface under them and whacked the pins.  They moved!  It worked out but I wish there was a better way.  Even tried an arbor press...no luck there either.

Thanks for the help, if I decide to send it to you folks what kind of turn around do you think I would be looking at?

Thanks
