When installing a gas block to your barrels...do you put the gas block all the way to the shoulder or leave a tiny gap between the block and shoulder?

so many different gas blocks out there...just wondering how far back i should put my sentry adjustable clamp on gas block on your 11.5 gunner barrel.

All the way back to the shoulder. We undercut it so blocks will fit flush!

Just now saw this after I finished my build, I'm running the same 11.5 gunner and SLR. Mine has a tiny gap, but I used a SLR dimple jig and the tiny gap was needed to sit the knurled tip screws into the dimple.

But it's running perfect this way as well, on setting 7 while un-suppressed using low power ammo.

Yesterday I did sight in and ended up having to run the SLR Sentry 6 at  wide open to get Wolf 62gr to cycle reliably Block install was done with an SLR dimple jig so am pretty certain the port is fully aligned with the gas block.

My handloaded plinkers fared better at 12 clicks open (Hornady 55gr SPP over H335 24.3gr at 2900 fps average)

I did not take any M193 with me to test

Problem solved... swapped BGC and backed off the SLR gas block to setting 8 and had a reliable lock back on last shot with Wolf

The other rifle I swapped the BCG in to suddenly started short stroking

Good news. Was about to get worried, as that gas port and configuration has been very reliable.
