I got to fondle the new rifle by Springfield today. Nice. But what really got my attention is the drop in polymer hand guards with the keymod system. I understand the hand guards are Bravo Co. Are they available now? I didn't find them on your website.

Where did you get to check it out, and what was the price tag?  Is the billboard on the right side of the receiver as gaudy as it looks in some of the pictures, or does it tone down in person?

Pretty frustrating. They were announced at SHOT as being available in the Spring of this year, then nothing. Last update was supposed to be Fall, and so far nothing again. Now it says they are SA exclusive, so who knows if they're ever coming to market individually at this point.

Local Pawn Shop got one in today. The gun looks and feels good. The furniture was tight, and the rollmark is big but it is subdued. $850 was the marked price.

Thanks, I've got a local shop quoting me $800 as their price point, but they can't find any available right now, so I'm in a circling pattern...

Besides the furniture, is there any word on what components SA spec'd from BCM? The upper forge marks look the same, the flare on the magwell looks like BCM, the bolt sounds awfully similar to a BCM bolt. The SA with BCM could be a good option, but I'd like to know what BCM components are in it first..

Disclaimer: I understand that this is somewhat about SA, but if they're sourcing from BCM, then it's helping BCM too :)

Definitely wanting to get a closer look at the PKMR handguards. It could be BCM's offering to share the same market share as the MOE-SL handguards from Magpul. Heatshield inside?

handguards, stock upgrades - vaporware :D

Handled one yesterday at my local gun shop / range.  $849 sticker price and has probably sold.

It is a very nice carbine and why the polymer KMR is not as slim and the KMR-A (have one) they are very nice, much nicer than Magpul OEMs.

Seeing the gun next some other name brands with all the stuff I am going to put on it anyway would make it a no brainer IF I was in the market.  Three people called and said they were on their way while I was handling the Saint, only one they had.  I was tempted to buy it just because my 1911 and M1A are SA.

Fit and finish are superb.  Trigger feels just like my ALGs.  Rear BUIS appears to be a SA marked Troy flip up (like BCM does).  I have to wonder how much is made by BCM or if SA is actually making their own uppers, lowers and barrels.

This is where I would steer that first time buyer who wants a turn key gun and does not feel the need to put one together.  This would be an excellent first or "only one" AR.

My 2 cents.

Haven't seen a good picture, but I'm wondering if the same is also the case for the gunfighter mod 1 stock with the cheek rest. Been waiting on that one forever. If it's on the Saint, will it ever be for sale individually?

I just want a set of the damn handguards. If I have to buy a fucking rifle just for the handguards, I will, and I'll sell the rest of the rifle.

Just picked mine up today, great feeling rifle.  Barrel is profiled under the handguards so the rifle really points and handles well.  The handguards are actually three piece, one piece on the bottom, with a heat shield inside, and then the two top pieces come apart as well, but no heat shields on the top portions, that might be my one complaint, otherwise everything feels/fits great.  I also noticed the rear BUIS was mounted on the third slot forward, and I tried to move it back when I got it home, but on the rear-most slot, when folded down the rear sight actually hangs off the end of the receiver, so I moved it back up to slot #2.
Trigger feels smooth, crisp, no grit at all.  Even looks like there is a screw inside the lower receiver that can be dialed up or down to tighten upper/lower fit on the rear take-down lug.
Sorry for no pics, I still have to go to work, but all told, from gunbroker bid, shipping, and FFL fees, I got into it for just under 850.  And a big bonus is the rifle case it came in can still be used even if you add optics or accessories.
I will be buying another one.

LGS had some yesterday, $754...the roll marks ruined it for me and It didnt feel as good in the hand as my basic spikes and BCM. it felt cheap to me. Also, the 1/8 twist is a turn off...Another LGS had 1 for sale $723. He is a good friend of mine and from supplier elite brothers the dealer cost is $498.98 so thats quite a mark up.

I have a BCM rifle waiting on these. I was told 8 weeks, and that was around the first of the year. I would bet late March at this point.

The new stock is out too.

I do like them. I like them a lot. We'll see if they fit the weapon racks in our cars. But they are so slim I am optimistic.

Impact Weapons is tooling up a jig to install their flush QD swivel.

I really do like them. They are slim and light. They lock up tight. They are about the same width as the delta ring.

I would order a set of these if I could attach a QD at the rear. The attachment points as is, are in the wrong spot as that is where my hands go.

Im not really into the whole 1913 pic/Keymod/M-Lok attachment system debate.

My AR has a Mlok handguard because it was cheaper than the keymod varient.

That said, damn these handguards look good. Im tempted to buy one even though I have no plans as of yet to use it in a build.

Only wish they had a rifle length one for rifle gas systems, I would buy it in a heartbeat.
