Hi,

I'm ordering a Strikefire today from Sportsman's Warehouse.  Hopefully, it will be the newer version.  Is there any way to ensure it will be the new one???

Also, what is the deal with the hi-mount / low-mount difference.  I'm putting this on a Stag 2T w/ flip BUIS that sit real low (MI SPLP and YHM front gas block / flip tower).

Thanks,

Burns

Hi Burns,

All of the StrikeFires in our dealer's warehouses should now be the new versions.

You will want to go with the high mount to have the correct sight height, even with the flip sights. This is to ensure that you can still use the sights through the optic if you have to deploy them. With the low mount I think the irons will be so high they will be at the very top of the FOV if visible at all, which would require removal of the optic to use them. In addition, the high mount will allow a more comfortable cheek weld on a flat top AR platform.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Edited:  Thanks.  I just placed the order for the Strikefire at B&H:

Which appears to have the right mount.
