Are Colt hammers marked with a "C" in a circle (circle C), or are they marked in another fashion? Thanks. |

Thank you! ETA: Very nice M16 lower! This may be kind of a lame question, but I'm a retro guy |

Well, so long as it still can be returned to its original state. Even if you never decide to do it, it's the thought that counts. And again, thanks for the quick answer. |

And again, thanks for the quick answer. he has already had it redone in new black instead of the old colt grey. you better go back to the retro forum before you find out what it looks like now and you start to cry |
Damn! It's a really nice rifle, but damn! You'd be banned and burned at the stake in the Retro Forum for that, so it'd probably be in your best interest to stay away from there. ETA: 6921 or SOCOM upper? I love how you kept a normal CAR stock and an A2 grip. That Magpul stuff that everyone's flaunting disgusts me. |

That's a from the factory M4A1 SOCOM upper kit. Came with all the KAC goodies on it and sealed in box. Works out well for me because I have a QDSS-NT4 to put on the end. I basically want what our boys in the sandbox have today and this is the best I can do. ETA: I posted pic of the upper when I bought it. Stirred up some drama among some who think they are "in the know"...

After looking through that other thread, I must say that that thing is full of WIN! It must be awesome to be able to call that yours. Only thing I don't care for, however, is the KNS pins. You'll possibly benefit from them with that full auto lower, though. Nice to see that you built that lower up into something that is still basically stock, as opposed to throwing "enhanced" trigger guards, FDE furniture, and crazy-looking comps/suppressors on it. Most of which is what I see in the AR Discussions Forum, and that hurts my heart.

I agree. Like I said I tried to make it like a brand new Colt M4A1 SOCOM Machine Gun. As for the KNS pins... That's a $14k lower receiver and I want to protect it as best I can. I don't care for KNS pins at all, but they protect the lower. Granted I'm only shooting 5.56mm and NOT 9mm, but it's more for insurance and piece of mind.
Anyway I'm glad you "mostly like it". |
My LE6920's hammer doesn't have the "C" marked (LE0688XX) serial number. It has "S""S""1" marking - the two "S" are contained inside two boxes, while the "1" is inside a circle. The hammer also has two circles with no marking in them - MIM signature Ruh Roh.....I can hear ShawnMT's foot steps already ETA: 11b4v beat me to it. |
