What is the lifespan of these. My nephew will be getting a Stag LH Ar for Christmas and I told hime I'd get him some mags for the new rifle. I just want to make sure they're good or else I'll just stick with the aluminum ones. Thanks.

Mine seem to be holding up better than the aluminum ones, although I've put more rounds through aluminum mags than through the P Mags.

Realistically, anyone who shoots a fair amount should view all mags as expendable items, but I have yet to wear out any P Mags, as they seem to last longer than any of the other mags I've personally used or seen used (inculding the crappy, overpriced HK steel mags). YMMV.

Forever.

They're tough as hell.

I know mags are expendable but I just didn't want to shell out good money for a Pro-Mag type piece of crap when I know the aluminum ones work without a problem.

Trust me, P-mags are as far from pro-mags as you can get.

Min service life should be at least 10 years probably more

Not even close.

Seriously.

How long do AR PMAGS last??

It depends on how hard they are used.  Train hard with a aluminum mag on concrete, and tell me how well it holds up.

I've gone out of my way to destroy a PMAG by smashing the spine, ripping off most of the feedlip, and blowing holes through the body, and it still works.

Take a look at the below thread for more info.
