So seriously, why the complaining on length of time to get your product?
Look around on a few of the other Industry threads on AR15.com. Look at the time some of those folks are waiting. 120 days, some waiting since July for an upper. I don't see the complaining on some of those manufacturers threads. Only here in Palmettos. I am okay with the timelines Palmetto has taken to ship out my orders. I can understand missing parts, or wrong parts causing complaints. I am okay with those complaints, as that is a problem Palmetto seems to have. Even one of my orders came incomplete. If it were a more expensive missing part I would be more upset. Like those who ordered midlength Dissy's and got carbine lengths instead. That is a major F up on Palmetto. I do see that they have fixed those mishaps and made it publicly known here too. This rant isn't really about that though, since most of what I see here is length of time complaints. There is a BIG RED disclaimer on their site stating to expect delays. This is pretty much the norm for all manufacturers sites these days and during the Holidays/Election. If they are getting a 3 business week turn around or close there of on their uppers, they are doing a lot better than most. I don't understand why everyone here expects more from Palmetto on there turn arounds compared to others? Did they make a promise publicly or something? Does it say that you'll get an upper within a certain time on their website? If they F up your order, I can see posting here on their page about it if you were not able to fix it in a timely manner through e-mail or phone call. But a daily post about how long it has been since you ordered and how you have want instant gratification is a bit over the top. Am I a fanboy as some here have called these type of posters, no. Am I grateful Palmetto exists so that I can buy lots of goodies at extremely good prices, yes. If you wanted instant gratification, go to you local Gun Shop and spend your money there. Rant off! |

The people waiting 120 days were informed there was a long wait time. I think they would be angry if that 120 days turned into 240 days with no communication.
1st: That big red disclaimer has only been on their website since the beginning on the month. People complaining ordered well before that disclaimer was put up. 2nd: Yes do make a promise "Please allow up to 15 business days to build..." When you quote 15 business days to ship something and it takes 30 business days, that's not right. 3rd: Horrible communication. Not answering emails, phone calls, ect. However we do have time for Facebook! 4th: If you're okay with waiting 10 days for them them to ship 300 rounds of ammo, then so be it. You are a FAN boi if that timeline is acceptable. It has nothing to do with instant gratification. It has everything to do with meeting a DEADLINE. Its not only one person. Every day its a different person wanting to know why they got boned. |

I don't recall them ever quoting 15 business days to ship. Was that something they put up on Facebook or this site? I work in a business that runs off e-mails, I can understand getting backed up with e-mails and phone calls only add to the chaos. I have had pretty good communication with them. It has lots of room for improvement. My main rant was on the length of time complaints. If someone can reference Palmetto's promise to make 15 days I think I can come to understand the complaints. However have they recently made any promises other than the 3 day and it ships specials? |

"Shipping Times –Due to the high seasonal/holiday order volume, please allow 10-15 business days for your firearm to ship. Our PSA rifles are built from the ground up. Please allow at least 3-4 weeksfor delivery. Shipping times will vary during the holidays." Click on any PSA rifle on their website. At the bottom in red it states "*Rifles are not built in advance of ordering. Please allow up to 15 business days for your rifle to be built and to ship from our facility. " |

It should never take more than 2-3 days to pick an in stock item off the inventory, pack it the label it for the shipping partner to collect. How can I say that? I run an entire shipping department for a rather large company.
When you know your company will hit a rush season between Black Friday and Christmas you scale your operations to handle the load. Increase seasonal hiring and increased hours. For this past week alone I have hired an additional 10 workers and our shipping partners make increased pick ups while we run 16-20 hour shipping operations. If you have your teams spread properly, the pickers, the packers and the receiving department to re-stock things run smooth. BTO uppers is a different story, it's clear they are made to order but items and parts that get listed in stock, meaning they are shelved and ready to be picked and packed it's not reasonable to wait 2 weeks before the item is shipped. I should note that I'm not complaining. I don't think PSA has the resources to scale to that level of operations. Given their great prices their margin isn't that high and I'm okay with the additional wait time. I'll be back with future orders but will keep in mind the timeframe and order ahead of time. |

Definitely kicking themselves in their own butts for having something like this up on their site. Well than I think that sums up this thread. |

Then, they charge you 10% for cancelling when it was their fault you cancelled. They offer no apology and don't bother to make things right by not charging you a 10% cancellation fee like any other company that wants to keep its customers satisfied and continuing to buy from them would do. 4th: If you're okay with waiting 10 days for them them to ship 300 rounds of ammo, then so be it.
