I ordered a 22lr lw barrel and bolt, and a few other small accessories from cmmg on the 19th of december when everything that i purchased was still in stock on their website. They charged me the next day. Here we are almost a month down the road and my order is still shown as "processing"
are they so overwhelmed they can't package an order they got 3.5 weeks ago? or was the website not accurate when it showed the items i ordered were in stock? Most companies wait to push the charges through until the item is shipped, yet i was charged quite awhile ago and still haven't seen my order budge off of "processing" i wrote cmmg to ask this question and was given the standard no ETA on anything. even though i thought the items i purchased were in stock. If they weren't why wasn't i notified they're on backorder before the charges were put through? I know it's crazy with the panic buying and i'm not demanding my parts that i already paid for right now..... but i would kind of like to know wtf is going on over there and why if they aren't in stock, i was charged right off the bat. |

so i called....... i got "it's in production, it's being made" even though i ordered these things while they showed they were in stock
then after a little further pressing......"well it's in one of our four rooms and it'll ship out sometime soon....hopefully". now I'm waiting......to hopefully receive a call later today about the exact details and hopefully some sort of ETA. **update** They called me back. Said it should be shipped out by the end of this week. hopefully that's true and i get a tracking number by friday. |

With the industry in the current state of madness that it is in, I think your experience is going to be more common. However, they still should have updated you. Nobody wants to get the vague response from a manufacturer, after you have already been waiting some time. CMMG will make it right though and my dealings with them have been honest. Usually, if they tell you a week, it's plus or minus 1 day.

Update 1/15: 1 day after calling in for status, received e-mail packing list with tracking number today Glad I waited a few weeks to call since I did not want to be a pest, but also happy I called just in case something did go wrong with the order. Web site updated to "shipped" Looking forward to building some new toys!! Good thing I have pre-panic .22 ammo, my local Walmart had "zero" rounds in stock yesterday - LOL Thank you Joe and CMMG! Same boat here. Placed order December 19th for items "in stock", several times the size of IbuildedITs order to finish off some 22 builds. Its been pending since, which I can understand based on current events, so I patiently didn't want to bother them. Until today, based on this thread where there was a suggestion by CMMG regarding the OPs post, "Something isn't right, give us a buzz", so I called today too. Joe answered within a couple rings ( fantastic CS! ), looked up my order number, clicked some keyboard keys, and said my order had changed from Processing to Issued on January 10th and assured me it would ship soon. I should have been more inquisitive because the online status still shows all items on my order as "processing", so I hope Joe was not yanking my chain Will keep you posted when I have a tracking number. Loving all my well engineered quality CMMG products and look forward to many more! |
I have an order that is just two weeks old and under the circumstances, I understand there will be a delay (likely substantial). However, my concern is that both of the items in the order show "in stock" on the website, but my order status says backordered.
As stated above, any feedback is appreciated! |

As stated above, any feedback is appreciated! I would call them. I usually do not trust the online status of 'in stock' for any website or manufacturer. You never know how well it is managed in regards to their order processing. BCM is the only one I have found that always has them 'in stock' if they show it for that item. |
| I ordered a barrel on Saturday and my card hasn't been charged yet. I started digging around and I read through some of the threads on AR-15. Based on what I saw, I gave CMMG a call. The lady I spoke with said my barrel was on "backorder" even though the site showed it as "in stock". I realized that some assembly/production is required on my order. She said they had no ETA on any of their orders. Now grant it, I'm not trying to be impatient here and I'm willing to wait 2-4 weeks based on the current status of the industry but how long should I wait before I cancel the order? I really feel like we are running out of time to get current builds completed. This barrel is my only missing piece. Thanks! |

Just my luck! If they're receiving the exact same upper you ordered, there's a problem. Call in this case. If not, every company is receiving bits and pieces and shipping what they can. Dave S |
| I placed my order for a barrel on 1/11. Up until now I haven't seen any activity on my credit card. I have been watching my visa card statement and today I see that CMMG has a pending charge on my card. Anybody know if this is a sign that my order is about to ship? |
