| I bought a 13.2" rail back last september. I just realized the Anodizing on it is light on the end of the rail muzzle end, another thing is is the rail not cut to standard 1913 because had a Magpul flip up front sight on it and cranked the shit out of the screw, still lose, moveable easily by finger. That said it irritated me enough i put troys on it problem solved.. However it is slightly canted very slight... I'm not bad mouthing love larue products just curious if i got a fluke or what |

Quoted: The easiest way to fix a canted front sight is to shim it with a piece of steel cut from a "Reading thickness gauge". You can get a stack from Sears pretty cheap, keep trying different thickness under the low side until it correct the cant to the right amount then cut a small piece out and locite it under the sight. Of course you can probably send the rail back and get a replacement but it is just a different option depending on which is less work for you.I bought a 13.2" rail back last september. I wouldn't write off the rail as being out of spec because of a front sight not mounting properly. I had a LMT sight that would go on some rifles and not others because it was slightly out of spec. This, I've had sites from magpul that absolutely wouldn't go on a rail no matter how hard you tried with a mallet. However, a different magpul sight goes on fine. It may be the sight. As far as the canting *shrug* |

if you don't install the rail properly, it will be canted. It happened to me until I read the instructions the proper way..LOL ![]() This. I used a carry handle to bridge the gap between the rail an receiver, and then used the strap wrench to tighten it down. No cant on mine |

A laser level works great as well |

OP, How come your post doesn't start with: "Hey LaRue staff, I'm having trouble with a rail I got from you. What do I do?"
Instead, your post is like saying, "Hey everybody, LaRue stuff ain't all that!" Just curious! Edited to say Never mind...I should mind my own business on second thought. |
