Major issue with a 15 inch Alpharail, need help and advice.

I cannot get the rail to lock securely to the barrel nut, even putting my AR in my Eberlestock is enough to dislodge it.

Tried refitting it and it doesn't want to work, even changed the barrel nut for a brand new one and the problem won't go away.

I have one of the old TRX rails on my other AR and it's absolutely bomb proof compared to the Alpharail.

Any suggestions.

Email me some pictures of your Upper with the barrel nut on it.

I suspect your problem is that you have not mounted your barrel nut correctly. The alpha mounting system requires that the barrel nut be mounted "as if a gas tube was going to be used." What I mean is that if the "teeth" on the barrel nut don't line up in such a way that the gas tube will mount correctly through the "teeth" the alpha rail will come off the barrel nut. I figured this out when I mounted a VTAC alpha rail on a .22 upper that obviously didn't have a gas tube. I just torqued the barrel nut down and couldn't get the alpha rail to mount. I re-torqued the barrel nut as if there was a gas tube coming through the teeth and it has been good to go since.
