I see my other post got locked about shipping on my gsg mags. I got the mags today and could not believe the size of the box they ship in. I am not complaining about the $6 for two mag because it beat $11 for one mag but. The box was huge its like 11x8x5 for 2 mags. I figured throw them in a padded envelope and call it a deal. Is it just a convenience to keep a few sizes of boxes and just add padding?? I have been wondering this alot lately on a few different orders from different companies come packaged this way little item huge box lots of air bags or paper.  Just curious

Sometimes a flat rate box is cheaper than calculated shipping.  Don't ask why, just trust that the government-controlled USPS knows what it's doing...

It could also be that, in the case that it "accidentally" gets used as a football by USPS, it's better protected in a box.

Better too much packaging than too little.  UPS = United Parcel Smashers

We have found at our shop that box size in th area you are talking about makes no difference in shipping cost.  On the other hand, the better it is packed and taped the better.
