[ARCHIVED THREAD] - LAR-9 Barrel Question

I am trying to figure out if the LAR-9 AR's have a 16 inch barrel AND then a thread on flash hider or is it a 14 inch plus and then the thread on flash hider (to make it a 16 inch total)? This is all because I am trying to do the math regarding using a Spikes Tactical fake can that slips back over some of the barrel yet hopefully just inside the rail. Also do you know the inside diameter and length of the Advanced Half Quad Rail (mid length). I plan on ordering the weapon with that. Thanks!

I'll try to get the info on the quad for you.
The barrel is 16" from closed bolt face to the muzzle (the method used by ATF to determine legal bbl length).

Right at 1.72 inches.

I am interested in the quad rail dimension also, is the 1.72 inches an inside diameter so a suppressor 1 5/8 or 1.625 in diameter will fit inside?
