| Was ready to buy an LE6920 when I see Colt has released to Sporter 6920. Not sure which one to get now? I do realize they are the same except for the markings. Which will have better resale value in the long run? I do like the fact that Colt put "M4" on the sporter model. Now to decide. |

Pick the rollmark you like better. No, seriously. They're the same rifle.
The SP6920 is marked SPORTER M4 CARBINE, no LEO/EXPORT markings on the right side of the magwell, and no caliber markings. It's marked "COLT'S MFG INC." The LE6920 is marked COLT'S LAW ENFORCEMENT CARBINE, CAL. 5.56MM, with LEO/EXPORT markings and marked "COLT DEFENSE." Everything looks better with Krylon. ~Augee |

+1 Which rollmark do you like better.
I don't have a crystal ball so I can't really say which one will have a better resale value in the future. I have a SP6920 but I don't have a LE version (yet), I also have a 6721 which is a LE series model that I bought last year, when comparing their quality they're the same. Maybe to be on the safe side get both, everyone needs a spare backup, better get 'em quick while the prices are still at their record lowest at the moment. |

I have met some pretty stupid cops. I prefer not to have things marked "restricted Law Enforcement Only..." on the side. Add to that I think it would be pretty cool to have an M4 clone that is actually marked "M4 Carbine", and that would seal the deal for me. If I had the money, that is. ![]() |

i would like to have one of each. but since my primary use of my AR is making me a tactical internet operator only, I like the LEO markings and the Colt Defense rollmarks. ![]() ![]() Thanks for the laugh.
I chose the SP6920. I could have had the LE for the same price. I liked it without all the LEO markings. I also liked it to say M4 -Carbine. I still might pick up a LE6920 at some point. Now I want a LE6450. |

Thanks for the laugh.
