Does the PSA Blackhawk LPK have a PSA kit with the Blackhawk stock and ergo grip. Or is the whole thing Blackhawk? I'd like to know. I think this is the link. Sorry I'm on a phone

I don't mind PSA, but I'd like to steer clear of Blackhawk stuff
Thanks.

The grip is blackhawk too.

Hard plastic

And what's your problem with blackhawk?

They make good stuff

Oh maybe I was thinking of blackthorne? I thought there was a black "something" that was a no no. So the LPK is PSA parts though?

I just got one of the Blackhawk LPK it looks like its a regular PSA LPM with a black hawk grip.  The bag had the PSA logo on it but said blackhawk too.

I just got a bunch of mine in as well.  Mine looked exactly as you described.  They seem to be psa LPK's with a blackhwk grip.  I will say this though...ALL of my bolt catches were out of spec.  The roll pin holes are too small for the roll pin to slide through.  For anyone who purchased these, you definately need to check your bolt catches.

Damn, I grabbed one of these with the PSA blem lower, and was a little skeptical on the Blackhawk LPK Hope its not the case for all of them

Do you know what the correct diameter for the hole is so that I can measure mine when they arrive?

Thanks!

Edit:  I just looked at the lower drawing and see the hole in the lower is Ø.093" ± .004".  I assume the bolt catch is similar.

Not sure on what the size is supposed to be.  Just take your roll pin and make sure it slides through the bolt catch hole.  If it doesn't, you either need to file the hole or send it back.

Roll pins aren't supposed to easily fit into their holes.

They are supposed to be a little tapered on one end so you can get started and then you hammer it into the hole

Will the roll pin diameter decrease when it is inserted into the receiver and then fit the bolt catch properly?  I can't say I've ever tried putting a roll pin through a bolt catch before installing it into a lower to see how much clearance it has.

How is the bolt catch supposed to operate if it can't turn on the roll pin?  I know the ones from this kit are tight and my other PSA lpk's can easily slide through.

I hear what you're saying about not rotating on the pin.  Not trying to say you are wrong.

Have you tried the pins from the other kits in the bolt catches that are tight?  Just wondering if you might have some roll pins that are slightly larger than normal.

oh you mean the whole on the bolt catch piece, not the receiver.

Maybe when the roll pin gets squished by the receiver holes, it will be loose in the bolt catch

Once the pin is installed into the receiver the compressed pin will then allow the bolt catch to rotate freely.

When did you all order your LPK with BH grip?  I ordered mine on the 25th but it has not shipped.  I figure they are busy but did you order after the 25th?  Thanks

Yeah, i tried the pins from  my other PSA LPKS and they would not go through either.  I also tried the roll pins from the blackhawk kit into a different PSA LPK bolt catch and it slid through fine.  The Blackhawk bolt catches were definately a different/smaller spec from my other PSA LPK's.

These were all ordered on 11/18/13.

Since this topic is on PSA LPK's

Anyone have used this one?
http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/palmetto-state-armory-classic-lpk-overmolded-grip-black.html

$86 dollars shipped for 2 is very hard to pass up.

For the price it can't be beat.......not even CMMG, the trigger that I tend to run in all my builds...

How's the quality and durability?

Well, just got the BLACKHAWK! LPK's I ordered (a day early I might add ).  Looks like it's the PSA Classic LPK!  The bag containing the LPK has a PSA logo on it, plus the tag on the bag with everything in it (grip and LPK) says "Palmetto State Armory BLACKHAWK! LPK.

I just ordered this one. Is it the same as what is being discussed above?

http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/lower-parts/blackhawk-lower-build-kit.html

All I need now is the actual stripped lower!

The one you linked shows it as being a Blackhawk! lower parts kit, the other listed it differently, I think it said classic parts kit.

One strange thing on mine.  I had a previous install with a Bushmaster LPK and the safety selector stuck out quite a bit to where it was nicking up the little nub there by the safety.  I decided to swap out with one of the new PSA ones and noticed the raised portion of the selector goes all the way into the middle of the round portion of the part.  No other ones I have or have seen did that.  It is a longer lever.

I've had one of these in my cart for the past few days, it might be the best deal I'll find to keep my budget build under $450

Trying to decide between the Blackhawk build kit or the PSA M4 Stock Kit & PTAC LPK since they would come to the same price.
