How many rail slots does this guy take up? Wanna know how many slots I need to leave clipless.
Also...kinda curious where everyone who uses one is mounting it? I see alot of pics of AR's with bipods mounted and they are mounted a bit back from the end of the rail. Is there a specific reason for this? |

I don't know much for tactics. I mounted my pivoting bipod as far forward as it would sit while still being able to comfortably reach the adjustment knob. Also if you're run'n and gun'n with the bipod stowed, balance is something to consider.
