I have been looking at this one:

but the other one looks good as well. Like the fact that has the pockets on the outside.

I bought the rifle bug out bag for my BIL this past christmas and he absolutely loves it. I've checked it out and played with it a few times and it is really well made, sturdy, and has just enough room for what its designed for. Only thing is the main compartment isn't that big, so if you're even remotely considering carrying rifle mags with it, spend the extra dough and get the rifle big out bag over the regular bug out bag. The extra room is very useful if you ever intend to carry AR mags.

Definitely a top-quality item. Which is probably why LT puts their name on it!

Here ya go. The .45 and the ear pro should give you some idea of size.

Took a quick pic for ya'. I ain't no MFingar, but you get the idea. The bag will hold alot more gear than I thought when I placed my order. I had 150 12ga. shells and about 100 .45, not to mention ear & eye pro, and a few other necessities in it a few weeks ago. You will be

I have this one in black from last Christmas, I adore it.  I find new uses for it all the time.

I have the BOB and couldn't be happier with the quality, it immediately became my pistol range bag.

I've looked over the bags for quiet some time. I still to this day can not decide between the bug out bags, range bags, or the eagle escape and evade pack. I kinda like the idea of the escape and evade pack beiong more like a back pack.  then I can get a shooting mat and roll it up and get two adjustable straps with buckles, and attach it to the bottom 2 loops.

I've got one of those that I'll be using as a diaper bag when my son comes along in August.

Nice bag, once I don't need it for diaper and other baby stuff, I'll definitely find a good use for it.

this is the exact one i had. it was a pretty decent bag but i ended up passing it along. the only real complaints i had with it were these:

* the main pouch cover flap had to unbuckled to get to the rifle mags, if in a stressfull situation i could easly invision loosing some of the stuff out of the main compartment while trying to grab a rifle mag.
* the rifle mags were all on the far outside of the bag, so if you were carring loaded mags, but not loaded real heavy in the main compartment the bag would list hard to the far side and carry a bit odd.
* for some reason the material in the shoulder strap would creak like an old hard wood floor if carrying the bag when fairly heavily loaded down. this did seem to deminish a bit the longer i carried it, or i became accustomed to it.
* though i never tried it i think it would be a bit cumbersome if one tried to use it while running and gunning like during a carbine course or something, it was a bit bulky when loaded down with a nalgene, 6 rifle mags, 3 pistol mags, and a main compartment full of other provisions. if used in conjunction with a lot of physial movement i could see it flopping around, and when loaded heavy dragging the wearer along with it's momentum...

in all it is a great bag imho if used as a range bag. i don't know how great it would be if used as a minute man inspired riflemans bug out bag as the name suggests, in place of more appropriate kit such as a war belt and or chest rig setup... however, it does also make a great bag for keeping your junk ready to grab and go to toss in a car or some such, or to use as a bag to reload, resupply, and suppliment your line 2 grear. i always thought of mine as line 2.5(sustainment for my line 2 gear). in addition to the nalgene and a olicamp cup, the 6 rifle and 3 pistol mags mentioned above i also kept in the bag: a can of mace, a pepper spray(OC) grenade, a couple spare boxes of ammo, spare fixed blade knife,  ear pro and a spare pair of glasses, spare batteries for my standard lights and comms, and an additional minimal survival kit including: 3 decent days worth of emergency food rations(2, 2 day manistay ration bars and a few cliffs' bars), water purifiation tabs, some spare FAK fixins'(basicaly a spare home put together VOK type kit , and a few booboo supplies), emergeny space blanket and cheapy throw away poncho for shelter, spare fire starting fixins'(bick lighter, some tea-lite candles, and some tender in a ziplock baggie), a small "fix it" and survival kit(sewing kit, wire, superglue, spare swiss army knife, chem light sticks, a small AAA flashlight, and a "commando" wire saw).

ETA: i stepped up to an eberlestock G4 operator i bought during their fire sale. it is now where my OBR is going to live, is my range bag, my BOB, and my SHTF get the fuck out of dodge ruck, for my TEOTWAWKI rig. yeah, yeah, red dawn watching survivalist wet dreams and alll...

I've got the rifle BOB too, and it's pretty nice. Here's an old pic from a year or so ago. I don't have a lot in it right now.
Just the 6 rifle mags, 3 pistol mags, a knife or two, compass, emergency blanket thingy, kimber guardian, and an extra pair of gloves.
MFingar had some pic's a while back where his bag was packed with a ton of stuff. Check around and you can probably find it.

I have the regular BOB.  Is the only difference the mag pouches on the front?  Does the one in the OP have the holster inside?
