[ARCHIVED THREAD] - LaRue Bumper Sticker Picture Thread (Page 1 of 2)
That's weak. You used magnets to attach it. You can peel off the backing and stick it on; it won't hurt that fine toolbox. |
+1 |
Damn, that is cool!!! |
You get a pass for the NLEOMF ribbon. Is Jimmy John's Fast? Those commercials have been driving me crazy. |
The department handed out those magnets a few years back from the FOP. On the front of the safe, I have a "Heroes Live Forever" one I picked up last year when I got to go to D.C. for Police Memorial Week. (you can see the edge of it in the picture) I don't watch TV, so I don't know the commercials you're talking about; but Jimmy Johns has the best damned sandwiches money can buy! |
I like- where diid you get it? |

AmericanSnipers.org is one of the best organizations you can guys can be donating to. Check them out HERE. They get our long-distance boys what they need, the real gear that saves their lives when some of them are not being issued the right stuff. A few bucks is nothing to you, but it can mean life and death for a sniper defending your freedom. Ante up, ARFCOM! ETA: Sorry - no hijack intended. |
+1 At least buy a few stickers, every donation really helps these guys out. And the stickers are cool |
|
Here is the link to the cool products they have. You donate a certain amount for each item. For example each sticker is a $5 donation. You could also just donate some money or needed items. Please check it out! americansnipers.org/products.html |
I have the same thing on my stainless Kobalt box at work |
what's the deal with that black/blue sticker by the plates. |
That some kinda ten-uh-c moonshiner code.
|
I am officially jealous. |
Well, you know the song "T is for Texas and T is for Tennessee" Good call, Mark. I just wish I could figure out how to make the Dillo work on opening a narrow mouth quart mason jar ring |
I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you. |
you need one of those for your big brown delivery truck. That way while you're using the GSG-5 to safeguard the haul, you can get safer passage past the revenuers By the way, I didn't fully understand your comment "I figured it ot ...and that figures ". What does that mean , exactly? |
One of what, the LaRue bumper sticker or the LEO elitist sticker? UPS flipped the fuck out when "someone" put an ARFCOM logo on the back of my truck but now that I think about it a LaRue sticker would look good on the back of a truck they help keep running. |
Oh Mother of Mary - a cop basher - in a LaRue thread to beat it all. Well let's analyze this - that 'elitist' sticker is no diffferent than displaying an esoteric ARFCOM bolt face because you are a fan and or TEAM member of AR15.COM - it just doesn't display it so blatantly. Lots of people display their work professions, avocation, hobby, favorite sports team, etc on their vehicle. Oh, but wait a minute, there is a difference! That ARFCOM sticker doesn't hold in reverence the thought of a memorium for fallen comrades. (did you notice the color black that runs through the middle of it?). That is what that sticker started out as - a memorial to cops who gave their life. It then progressed into a ' be careful out there', and has probably fallen to the level of "I'm part of the team" symbol, or an "my wife, my husband, my son, etc is a a cop - damn proud of it" Are there folks out there that try to buy the symbol off Egay and other places and place them on their vehicle to "get them out of a ticket"? Probably. But use some logic. Assume a vehicle has been stopped, cop approaches, cop sees symbol -cop does NOT just walk away. They interview, find out what they need. IF it is a fellow officer -they'd know that it was a cop after a few minutes interview anyway. If they ask about the sticker, and the driver has NO legitimate affiliation -so what; just like you see a car with 5 :benevolent police association giver for this year: stickers, thinking that will get them out of a ticket - horse crap! Some really care about cops - most just send in their $25 thinking that displaying the sticker will get them out of a ticket. News flash for you Mr. UPS man - a cop does not need to have a sticker to have another cop decide whether to ticket him/her or not . What a stupid premise. If I feel the need (if a have a moving violation and am stopped) to try and get out of a ticket, I have a shield, ID, cop stuff, the lingo, etc to make that happen if it is going to happen. Now I am NOT suggesting that cops are above the law- if they speed, they probably should get a ticket too, but often don't due to officer discretion. PLENTY of NON cops would get the same courtesy. I know plenty of ARFCOMERS in the hills of TN that were given a warning instead of a citation just 'because' they were good folks. Now to your elitist statement. Damn right cops are elite. SO are doctors, nurses, paramedics, firefighters, soldiers, pilots, SEALS, mothers, preachers, rescue techs, snipers, marines, etc. (the list is much longer) They all have special training and take care of emergencies and thank God for them. Many of those I listed run into danger while others are running away. We deal with the crap society wants to believe doesn't exist. We are handed breathless limp babies and begged to help them. We have to wake up in the middle of the night from bad dreams, drive by our homes just to hold our little baby for just a second after a bad call, still having blood, brains, and ice cream from a dead 3 year old still on our uniforms. WE deal with he drunks, dopers, and other losers most people cross the street to get away from. We deal with the shit and try to make it better. We also have the great pleaseure of meeting a dealing with some wonderful people. We are the last person to see someone's eye's before we end their life, and sometimes, even though that person was an evil person and needed to die, we still see those eyes occassionally. We are the ones that the press picks apart because some thug has brusises on them because they thought the were Billy Bad Ass. WE are some of the most loved (when you NEED us) and the most hated (for whatever reason). We usually don't have enough backup, are underpaid, and so on - but for most it is a calling, and we CHOOSE to do it. There are some bad cops. Some cops have bad attitudes and are not doing the job as well as they should. Every profession has bad apples. But most people probably have no idea what we have to deal with, nor what our families deal with. Enough of what you will call drama, it is what I call reality. Next time you see a Marine with a bulldog tattoo or a red /yellow bumper sticker -comment on his 'elitist' sticker. Let's see: NAM vets, firefighter maltese crosses, license plates with Bronze Star designators, the star you see in the window of a car of a Mom whose daughter is serving in the STAN or Irag; a RANGER tab sticker - the list goes on. All these folks and/or their organization have done something to be proud of, and all of them have had some bad apples who made them look tainted. And our own Mark LaRue, starts his website with a tribute to a fallen soldier. A memorial sticker (if you will) to the life and service of an 'elite' human being, He also distributes stickers (of which this thread is about) about an elite group of individuals (snipers). He makes a good living supplying goods to .mil, .gov. and LE, as well as the rank-and-file civilian (or Citizen) (yeah, I saw the thread where you wanted to get a patch made that says "CIVILIAN", similar to SHERIFF, SWAT etc). I don't think Mark's tribute to snipers is pissing anybody off. Why would a tribute to fallen officers piss you off? HEll you ought to like cops, everytime we order some tactical stuff it is probably giving you job security? Yeah, cops have a thin blue line that ties us together. SO what? Fraternities, sports fan clubs, civic organizations, political parties, etc all tend to want to spend time with their own. The ARFCOM TEAM, the Survival Forum members - we all have patches etc, showing our affiliation. You're just being a whiner. I was all ready to through out personal insults toward you for being a jerk, you don't know me or my family or what we have had to deal with because of MY CHOICE TO SERVE, or the sacrifices that have been made to be a part of the 'elite' club; but I don't know your own personal story either- a cop could have shot your dog, or a ticket may have made you go to driving school, or one of us handsome-in-our-uniforms guys could have banged your wife - who knows. It is always a good policy to offer respect to others until they prove the need to do otherwise. I've always liked my UPS drivers (and partiicularly the one lady driver I had about 10 years ago SO, if you think the thin bue line memorial sticker means cops are elite - wear it out - shows how stupid you are. But everytime I get a callout because I know I am going into a bad situation, I'm going to tuck that picture of my wife and kid inside the top of my sock and focus on the mission, and I'll be using some LaRue gear on my tac rifle(s) that was probably delivered by a UPS driver. Line of duty deaths suck - we try to prevent them, but we also honor ALL those that serve and pay the price - does your family get "line of duty benefits" and a long line of truks in your funeral procession? Last thing, if you are gonna be an asshole, pick another forum to do it, please. Mark Larue has done WAY to much to help us 'elite' folks in making our job safer and I am sure there are tons of us Federal, State, and Locals that frequent the LaRue forum that don't care to listen to an anarchist BSer. And for those folks that aren't LE, I 'd say they probably agree (unless of course we shot their dog, too |

relax dude, no one is bashing cops, pick your fights elsewhere. i'm sorry you took your time to write such a lengthy reply, almost makes me want to read it - eta, i read it and you got to take it easy hoss. you read way too far into one or two lines of text. however the info i got (via im) was apparently quite slanted but also quite believable so i made my comments w/ only half of the story behind your stickers. - eta part deux, what are you Deej86's apprentice or did you do some 'police work' to prepare for you response? |
Didn't we discuss those magnets already?

Sorry |
