I did loose my patience with a guy a couple years ago, he wouldn’t let me by, he said it’s a race I don’t let people by. He held me up for at least a mile. We hit a downhill section and I rammed his back tire with my front tire a couple times in the slower tight turns. I finally said, I’ll f****** wreck us both before I let you beat me. He finally pulled over. He was the only person I’ve ever gotten mad at during a race. I was pretty much fighting mad. Everyone else has been really cool. I always let faster people by, there’s so many different classes, I don’t wanna ruin someone’s race when technically I’m not even racing against them. |

That was the Bain of my existence when I was racing. A bunch of 160 lb lungs who had now technical skills. They could out pace me in the open but would shut the door on the single track. I would hound them to get over but they knew they would get dropped. That’s racing. |

Never had tires that throw as many rocks as they do. I feel the treads up with rocks every time I drive on a gravel road, which is every day. Then they’ll sling rocks for miles when I get back on pavement. 63mph is the magic number to get them clean out. |
