I just got my RDP II mini red dot sight and this thing is beyond cool. It even came with a free keychain flashlight.
Solid metal, just sweet. However, this very professional looking red dot sight has this fairly flimsy-looking bracket (the loose piece of metal that gets tightened up against the side of the rail) It's very thin and only covers about half of the sight mounting groove. The bracket on the sight is 3/4" long but the sight mount groove is 1 5/8" long. Is there a source I could get a longer/thicker/stronger one from? I wouldn't mind buying one that was too long and cutting it down to proper size. http://www.tacticalnightvision.com/images/red_dot_sights/rdp-II/RDP-II%20%20C.jpg |

I would be happy to pay for someone at TNVC to make one for me that was long enough to cover the entire length of the sight's groove.
How much could it add to the cost of the sight ? 1$ ? Seriously, I love my little sight and I intend to use it, but it would make me feel better to have a wider clamp on there. |
