I have a guy wanting to buy just my upper as he some how ended up with a lower in California that's registered. Any ideas on what this upper would be worth and what the lower would be worth sold seperately?

As a Costa owner, I have to say "don't you dare split it up" Sell it whole or don't sell it at all, the separate value of it would be quite a bit less than the whole kitty.

Yeah I'm thinking I just won't sell at all.

No idea what either half would be worth by itself, but IF I had been able afford to drop the coin on one all at once when each batch came out, I certainly wouldn't want to part it out, PERIOD.  YMMV.

It would almost seem counter-intuitive to break up something that was serialized together, even if it wasn't in the same realm as MATCHED.  I'm biased, but my experience has been that LT rifles are fitted so tightly they might as well be billed as matched...

Just curious, what's he offering for the upper?

I wouldn't either. But then again, I'm one of those people that NEVER sell off their guns

I just sent let him know that I just couldn't do it. I like this rifle more than any other rifle I've owned.
Thanks guys for talking me off the cliff lol.
