| Is there any idea to a general lead time for a .50 Beowulf upper? I ordered an Overmatch plus with 2 boxes of 335 grain ammo and was hoping to get at least an approximate lead time. 3 months? 6 months? |

12 weeks works for me. I was hoping to not hear 6 months or more. But remember, no one really has any handle on what is happening in the supply chain. If you have all the parts except for some tiny spring it can throw everything off. You can have bolts, but if you can't get gas rings, the upper can't be put together. Yeah I have 320 rounds of Beowulf ammo plus Beowulf and Grendel mags on order since Jan 4 so I'm crossing my fingers it arrives this month. I have no idea of the lead time but I have a lot of faith in AA, they've always seemed to have their *stuff* in order which is why I'm a Beowulf AND Grendel girl  .

That is good enough for me. Totally understand about market conditions stretching out lead times and I was just hoping for a ball park figure so I can plan my next purchases. I ordered mine back on 12/20/12! I hope the 12 weeks estimate is accurate! I'm really looking [forward] to playing with my new Beowulf 
The only thing that sucks is that I thought I'd have an easier time finding ammo and didn't order it with ammo.  I have one box I found at a gun show. Anyone have any suggestions on where I can find ammo for it?

| I was told 8 - 12 weeks for a Grendel upper almost five months ago, and the FFL I ordered it through has not heard a peep from AA. This was in before election day, before the Newtown shooting, so you shouldn't be surprised if it really is six months. Just sayin' |

I ordered a Beowulf piston upper back in December too. I'm looking at this a little different than you guys though...they don't charge you until it is shipped from what I understand, so what's the problem? Just let yourself be pleasantly surprised when it shows up one day .
P.S. - just to make sure there is no confusion or panic caused by my first statement; no, I have not heard any news of my upper yet. |
