I have Bushmaster XM15 E2S A3 20in Rifle, and I want to throw a scope on it(flattop). For the most part it will be for targets, but I would like some flexibility, i.e. throw it on a m1a sometime in the future. I only want to spend around $300.00 for the scope & mount any suggestions?

How about a tasco SS 10x42 for $299.95.  Or a Leupold Tactical 3-9x40 (nice) for $309.95.  If you want more power the Springfield Armory 4-14x40 is great for target shooting but the reticle is for .223 only so it would not pull double duty.

I have the SS 10x42 from swfa and it is awsome. Better than any scope I have shot so far.

We have a one piece mount made by B-Square for $49.95 or MK4 rings by Leupold for $124.95
